72. The Hardware Store
© Warner Bros. Television |
After Jack gets him a job at Harris & Sons Hardware in town, Kevin doesn't like the way his boss, Old Man Harris (Al Ruscio) treats him like a slave instead of an employee. Kevin tires to quit several times, but the old man offers him a raise instead and he feels neglected to stay until things get worse. Kevin, Paul, and their new friend Lewis Michael Bacall are hanging out Hillcrest Mall, they see a classmate, Robby Cashion Josh Blake surrounded by girls while working at the Burger Cage and Kevin wants to be apart of that. Even his father would rather go to the mall's hardware store then his son's own place of employment because its easier and faster, making Kevin realize the world's moving fast unlike the slow-paced Harris'. He finally leaves to go work at the burger joint, but feels guilty because of all the things that Mr. Harris had taught him.
